This picture infuriates me too - that thug deserves to have his teeth knocked in.

However, I also have to question Dad's judgement here. Bringing a Bush/Cheney sign to a left-wing-lunatic rally is asking for trouble. He surely knew they would harass him.

To those who jumped on LadyJane saying he had a "right" to bring her there: In a literal sense, you're correct. However, just because you have a right to do something doesn't mean you're right in doing it.

Clarifying: I salute his courage, but question his judgement.

Agreed. It's one reason why it is important that we draw some media exposure to this incident. People need to know the nature of the enemy. I wouldn't put my children into that vulnerable environment, but then again, I know what we all know about these scumbags. Now, me and five or six of my buddies ... we may just go out to the airport with Bush/Cheney signs next time Kerry or Edwards come into town.

I presume then, in the face of British tyranny, that you would have saluted the courage of the founding fathers, but, would question their judgment?

You cannot escape the fact that we are facing attack from the left, where is your spine?

Rise up, stand up, defend your principles, and stop passing judgement on those that have the courage to confront those that would destroy all that is good and righteous in pursuit of power and the furtherance of the march to leftist hegemony.

I understand your point, but who could have thought that people would grab a sign from a little kid and rip it up? That's not the kind of thing you would expect to happen in the United States.

Leave it to an engineer to clarify things! Absolutely he has every right to bring his daughter to the event. I just don't trust union thugs - even in church and certainly not at a political rally!

Bringing the opponent's sign is pretty tame. When Bush was in Springfield, MO, the protesters had signs that said things like "Fester in Hell".
