A woman wearing a T-shirt with the words "President Bush You Killed My Son" and a picture of a soldier killed in Iraq was detained Thursday after she interrupted a campaign speech by First lady Laura Bush.
Police escorted Sue Niederer of Hopewell, N.J., from a rally at a firehouse after she demanded to know why her son, Army 1st Lt. Seth Dvorin, 24, was killed in Iraq. Dvorin died in February while trying to disarm a bomb.

She's flip-flopped on use of the name- and that makes her fair game, because SHE chose to make it a political isssue and SHE is disgracing her son.
Yes, I believe it is true she lost her son. But apparently she lost him before he ever went overseas.
Her son and his father are honorable in their service to our country. She is not.
"Shown from left are Seth Dvorin's sister, Rebekah Dvorin; his mother, Sue Niederer; his stepfather, Greg Niederer; his stepgrandmother, Florence Sapir; and his grandfather, Jack Sapir."
One consistent problem I notice with liberals is an almost pathological need to blame someone for ills in their lives.
For this woman, the bomb didn't kill his son, and his decision to enlist in the service didn't contribute to his death either.
For some, the 9-11 hijackers didn't murder the people in the WTC, somehow our government did, by inattention or malfeasance.
If Clinton is president and they have an $8 an hour job, they are content. If they lose the job and Bush is in office, they somehow blame him. Their conduct, performance, abilities, luck, business cycles, etc don't seem to enter into their evaluation of situations.
I think this traces back to the typical liberal's core value of 'fairness,' which as practiced by them isn't very fair. They really believe, at a core level, that if they don't get optimal results in every aspect of their lives, someone must have rigged the game against them. The fact that they didn't get optimal results is, to their minds, prima facie evidence that some chicanery must be at work.
Sick. The concept of honest failure seems to cause an allergic reaction in their minds. They are largely unable to cope with this. Mentalcases. This kind of thinking is really pathological.
I think you nailed it - that bitter, befuddled woman is carted all over, just like political football Norma "Roe" McCorvey has been. Too bad the LSM doesn't do their job and look into the story behind the story.
What they forget to mention is that on the back it said, "God You forgot to give me a brain!"
Must have been a pause for her in her journey to see the Wizard.
What does the soldier's volunteer status have to do with his mother's politics?
She dishonored his memory. That is not reason to disparage the soldier.
I can top it. Stick around.
I wasn't disparaging the soldier. I was being sarcastic to point out the inherent foolishness of blaming Bush for her child being over there, as if (stay with me) Bush had actually held a gun to the boy's head (which I don't think he did).
Yeah, it's Bush's fault, even though to be a 24 year old 1st.Lt. he most likely started in ROTC in college after graduating high school SIX years ago. That would make it Clintons fault ; )

I remember this woman. Her son's body wasn't even cold before she started giving interviews to the press about how Bush is evil.
"My son died for absolutely nothing," Lt. Dvorin's mother, Sue Niederer, declared with quiet, forceful bluntness in her Hopewell Township home on Lake Baldwin Drive Friday. Ms. Niederer blames President George W. Bush personally for her son's death. "Seth died for President Bush's personal vendetta," she said. "Bush put us where we should never have been. We're not even in a declared war."
Illegal substitution. Five yards.
INDC Journal had a good article and interview with the woman in question, and I think it's worth a read:
She comes accross as a relatively reasonable grieving mother, who is being used and confused by the crazed nuts she is protesting with. With today's outburst, it looks like she gets more confused the longer she spends with them.

Well, Mrs. Niederer, I'm guessing that your son died because he was doing the job he volunteered to do. Ya know, keeping america safe, keeping you safe, keeping all of us safe so that you can run around free to speak your mind while attempting to keep other people from being heard.
But, maybe I'm just reading too much into it.
Good old Doug Stephan (the radio guy) mentioned this episode this morning. He was furious that the Kerry supporter was taken away in handcuffs!! OUTRAGEOUS!! Dougie yelled...OUTRAGEOUS!! Just TYPICAL of "this administration's ways"... He failed to mention that Mrs. Bush was trying to give a speech, and if the woman had merely sat quietly, maybe she wouldn't have had to be forcibly removed.
I AM happy that Dougie's sidekick, Nancy Skinner, will have to wait until next time to run for US senator for Illinois. Thank goodness she didn't make it to the finals this time! Hillary-lite.
Where's RJayneJ when we need her! Sigh . . .
