Your rant was excellent! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks congressman BB. It is always a pleasure to read your offerings.
Outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. Posted by Mr. Lu on a local board here http://www.hostboard.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi/ubb/get_topic/f/108/t/8364

Standing O. This should be read on the air by Rush, Hannity, Ingraham, Crowley and even Savage (taboo to some but I get a kick out of him).
FR ROCKS.
That's for sure.
Excellent! I'm just a housewife who reads, but I'm like a tiny ball bearing in a huge tank crushing the MSM.
Southack, thanks for the ping to the great thread! Kudos to you FReepers who never fail to energize me with your intellect, your power, and your eloquence.
Billybob
Did you perhaps call their attention to the ratings for CBS Evening News?
A show that finishes dead last in its time period coast-to-coast, mustering ratings 1/4 to 1/6 of its competitors', is not contributing to bottom line profits.
Nor do such ratings justify Rather's contract. I personally know of some "C" market anchors who could make those ratings...and cost 10% as much.
The thread was commenting on the story When Bush landed Air Force One in Baghdad to spend Thanksgiving with the troops.
Most of the people said it was very brave of a sitting President to fly Air Force One halfway around the world (14 hours?) and land in a dangerous location. Most expressed this idea by saying Bush had Brass Balls. Pukin Dog replied with:
Classic !
Thanks Pukin Dog! From another Pukin Dog ,69-70,Naval Air Station Miramar California ,Home of the Pacific Fleet Fighters!
bravo!
During the election of 2000, people on FR actually took the time to Google and otherwise search out the names in the media reports citing "ordinary citizens" concerns with the count, voter disenfranchisement and so on. Many of those ordinary citizens turned out to be small time Democrat Party hacks who always turn up in anti-Republican stories.
One of my favorites was the man who always seemed to be interviewed by the NY Times; I don't remember his name but he always showed up at grand openings etc. Finally, someone did a Lexis/Nexis search and 'viola', this guy is like Waldo, always somewhere in the picture.
Anyway, great speech...
That is what drew me to FR in the first place (that, and MrConfettiMan always e-mailing me links!). It was the posting of editorials from all around the country and world, giving a multi-faceted look at any particular issue. And then the predictable dissection of each news article. Often, someone would holler "Bulls---!" on a piece of information that I had, at first glance, taken to be logical and legitimate. (This happened enough to make me want to just shut up, read, and absorb.)
The Pukin Dog's awesome manifesto dragged me out of semi-permanent lurk.
Thanks for the ping.
Well done, Pukin Dog.
Thanks for the getting this out into the open, John.
BRAVO TO BOTH PUKIN DOG FOR HIS WORDS & BILLY BOB FOR REPORTING THEM VIA THIS THREAD.
Hey buddy! A Gulf of Tonkin Puke! F-4Js! Good to know you.
I became a Dog in 95, out of Oceana, but was a Sundowner at Miramar.
A big time bump to two of FR's finest!
Mark for myself ... THANKS for posting this, CBB!
