~10:41pm~ EST JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH ABILENE KINKOS: Bill Burkett has a standing account with the Kinkos in Abilene Texas, and while the lady who answered the phone would not be more specific she did say Burkett was in there last week - she waited on him on last (a week ago) Tuesday....

What did Karl Rove know and when did he know it!
Has anyone seen Dowd's column today> She is floating a trial ballon on the "Karl Rove did it" theory
What a crock.
Anyone who has been around Washington D.C. and in the media for more than an hour or two would know that the first thing Karl Rove did when CBS sent the documents to white house, was have the FBI check them out.
Rove and Bush knew the documents were fake when they released them to the public without comment.
Rove and Bush were certain that someone would make the case they were fake... if no one did then the white house would leak to some reporter what to do to prove they were fake.
Rather no matter how arrogant would have know what Rove would do. Rather is too dumb to be able to check the documents himself, and his staff was too scared of him to tell him the truth.
Rather had been a pampered star way too long. What he was told is what he wanted to hear. He will fire people who tell him what he doesn't want to hear.
He is toast. Rooney let the cat out of the bag... Rather will be history in six months.
Like Rather's daughter. Until I see evidence otherwise, I'm speculating these documents were "reconstructed" for Michael Moore, possibly with Rather's daughter involved. Moore would believe anything negative about Bush so the discrepencies wouldn't have been noticed.
Moore's movie was a big hit, adding to the credibility of the charges. Then CBS heard about the documents and asked for them. Billy Bob Burkett was so thrilled to get a call from Dan that he forgot about the default font, and faxed them to CBS.
Burkett is a computer guy. If he had taken five minutes to change the font to Courier or Prestige, history would be different.
He may be that stupid but I don't believe he didn't know they were fakes.
Emily Will, a professional document examiner in North Carolina consulted by the network to help assess two memos related to Bush's military service, said her copies showed a fax footer with a time stamp that read 6:41 p.m. Sept. 2.
The header of the fax, which presumably showed information about the sender, referred to a Kinko's shop near Abilene, Texas.
Now you know the time he sent the fax. Can you get them to check the security tapes?
