Cox's letter? I've got to catch up. I was on the way home from a golf game, when we heard on Rush's show that CBS was going to make a statement at 3:30 Eastern. My golfing buddy even came into the house to wait for the statement, and check out the "new media". I gave him a little lesson in FR, but when the time got pushed back again he decided that he had the time to get home to "see it".

Actually, my thinking is this:

9AM CBS finalizing release sticking by their story.

11AM Lawyers step in and want to review release.

12-3PM Big fight between lawyers and news folks.

3PM Lawyers win. CBS must admit documents are fake.

Now CBS is writing a new release admiting the docs are fake, but that their content is true.

Another friendly site is reporting a CBS source who says they will admit the documents are fake but that the content is legit.

Sounds to me they tried to authenticate a baseless 'rumor', but they had nothing to back it up with. So, somebody created a fake document in the hopes that would prove as evidence.
