Sen. John Kerry claimed Wednesday morning that he has released all the records he has on his service in the military, suggesting that an unnamed third party was holding up the release of his full Navy file.
Asked about a Washington Post report last month saying that Kerry had yet to authorize the release of nearly one hundred pages from his Navy file, Kerry told radio host Don Imus, "My military records that [the Navy] sent to me were posted on my web site. You can go to my web site and all my, you know - the documents are there."
When pressed on whether all his records had already been released, Kerry said that "to the best of my knowledge" they had. "I think some of the medical stuff may still be out there. We're trying to get it," he added.
On August 22 the Post reported:
"Although Kerry campaign officials insist that they have published Kerry's full military records on their Web site (with the exception of medical records shown briefly to reporters earlier this year), they have not permitted independent access to his original Navy records. A Freedom of Information Act request by The Post for Kerry's records produced six pages of information. A spokesman for the Navy Personnel Command, Mike McClellan, said he was not authorized to release the full file, which consists of at least a hundred pages."
But when reminded that the paper had challenged his claim of full disclosure, Kerry repeated, "Well, we released everything that [the Navy] initially sent me."
Imus did not ask the top Democrat whether he would sign the Navy's Form 180, which would authorize the release of all documents the Pentagon currently has in Kerry's military file.
The full exchange went like this:
IMUS: A Freedom of Information Act request by the Washington Post regarding your military records produced six pages of information - while the spokesman for the Navy personnel command said there were at least a hundred pages of information available, but he was not authorized to release them. Why can't we see this stuff?
KERRY: We posted to - my military records that they sent to me were posted on my web site. You can go to my web site and all my. you know - the documents are there.
IMUS: So, everything's available?
KERRY: Ahhh - to the best of my knowledge - ah - I think some of the medical stuff may still be out there. We're trying to get it.
IMUS: The Washington Post doesn't think that it's all available. They could go to your web site. Maybe they did.
KERRY: Well, we released everything that they initially sent me. [END OF EXCERPT]
In two words - monkey muffins...
At least he asked the question. Imus doesn't care if the answer was a lie or not.
So why will he not sign the Form 180???? How come no one but the Swiftees and the Freepers ask that question?
Will someone please hand Kerry a form 180 and ask him to sign it?
Anyone? Anyone?
To: hope
Heard Kerry on Imus this morning.
Imus asked him why he has not released all of his military record. And, he actually said, paraphrasing here:
I have released all of the records that have been released.
Imus asked again, Kerry mumbled something and Imus gave up and moved on.
Kerry is an amazingly bad politician!
How did this BOZO every get elected to anything??!!

What an idiot.
Does he really think this will get him off the hook?!
I kind of like a good liar. But Kerry isn't even a good liar.
The Kerry quagmire has become a parody of the Vietnam war itself. On November 3, I think we could put Kerry's name on The Wall.
Which we know for a fact is not much.....
I heard it. He was clearly lying.
KERRY: It depends on what the definition of the word "see" is.
LOL - You are right!
Kerry is a DAMN LIAR just like the entire DNC.
Time to plaster every Kerry rally with "180" that simple number in every camera shot, photo op angle, and building will remind ALL that kerry has not filed form 180.
This is a job for all freeping operations.
Wrong, he said he "released all the information originally provided." (anyboy got a transcript/recording to check) We must remember that he now has the Clinton guys working for him so we need to start pasring words and sentences. It all Depends on what your definition of 'all' is.
He couldn't claim that without reliable media partners
agreed. we could all send the kerry campaign (or even cbs- oh wait, that IS the kerry campaign) a 180 form via fax. :)
I agree, how about a takeoff of John 3:16. Like Kerry:180
