My prediction: "We stand by the information on Bush's guard service, but in order to protect our source, CBS retyped the memos."

On specially crumpled paper?

We are already forensically past that possibility.

THEN, it should have and would have been disclosed prior to the airing of 60 Minutes.

I am proposing that CBS deliberately tried to make these memos look authentic, knowing all along that they weren't.

I just can't believe that Rather is as stupid as everyone around here seems to think. I suspect he has something up his sleeve which will attempt to make us "people in pajamas" look like wackos.

The memos may be transcriptions of real memos, or they may be just pure fabrications based on somebody's "recollection".

Regardless, I still think SeeBS will claim they did it to protect their source.
