Did Sandy Berger make a delivery? I always thought it was called a "deposit".

what time are they supose to make the statment?
To: tsmith130
I know -- they're going to report that, after pressuring their unimpeachable source, the source confessed that the memos were indeed fake, and has now provided them with the real typewritten memos.

Withdrawing the story implies that it is false or else there is no other reason to withdraw it. If it is false, you don't have to protect a source that's given you bogus information. They should be nailed for that if that's the tactic they use.

Well, what goes in must come out, eh? Euw.
Seriously, if CBS doesn't miraculously come up with some back-up docs, color me surprised. Things must be really bad if they go for a modified limited hang-out. They must be really worried about someone finding out where those docs came from. Which would make me even more suspicious of the source.

Common sense approach would be to admit the docs are forgeries while standing by the basic premise of the story. Unfortunately for CBS, that would lead to incredible pressure to reveal their sources. Dan just can't bring himself to deep six the Kerry Campaign even to save the shreds of his own credibility.

"The Internet bloggers picked CBS's story as clean as a school of piranhas would pick clean some poor water buffalo that wandered into their river."
From another article. Evidently, Dangerous Dan Blather has no idea he's been caught, cleaned, and fried.

(answer)YES!!
lol
I can not wait to hear what manure they will be spreading today.

Seriously, if CBS doesn't miraculously come up with some back-up docs, color me surprised. I'll put money on the "back-ups" not looking much like the "originals".

They can't even wait until tomorrow, when the hurricane hits. THAT would distract from the story.

My understanding is that they will reveal the Kitty Kelly has vouched for the authenticity of the documents.
To: steveegg
Well, it takes a while to find matches for 30 year old paper and ink.

Their only way out at this point is tho cry "hoax" and claim they were duped. Pin it on Burkett and low level Texas Dems. Try to avoid any connection to DNC & K/E Campaign. It still looks bad on CBS, but not as bad as admitting purposeful deception on their part.
