CBS Statement Expect Today (Per FOX news)

I'd have to look, but Chris Cox seems to have information that USA Today received their memos independently from a source vouching for their authenticity and they won't divulge who he is. see, i have a severe problem with this. they say they have someone vouching for their "authenticity" but will not say who the person is or where they are from. These docs are outright forgeries and yet they are sticking up for the person or organization? what makes them believe that this person is right and killian's widow and son is a liar? if you ask me, the secretary is offering the easiest way out. i have a feeling that it is that burett guy and he is trying to fry the president (and link in with the whole drug thing).. the media is nothing more than colluding with the kerry campaign.

The thread I saw the other day (and I looked and there were several that had completely gone under my radar!) showed the docs. They received the same 4 CBS did plus 2.

As Chris Cox notes, they will not divulge their source at this time. His letter was the first I'd heard that USA Today had received the memos independently, then I see there was some discussion on it on those threads I'd missed. The difference so far, is they aren't standing by their authenticity like Rather decided to.

Others have probably pointed out toward the end of this thread which I haven't had time to read all replies on--CBS will release their statement via email.
