What about the billions that think they are enjoying responsibly...then they are caught in it's trap without ever realizing they crossed the line?
I am not a "nanny"...people will do what they want. I do NOT believe that the alcohol industry should be encouraging drinking as a health benefit.
Alcoholism is a disease...the majority of alcoholics have it from heredity. Most people do not realize they are prone to this problem to begin with...we should not be encouraging them to drink.
You see, I used to be able to enjoy a beer now and then, responsibly. Somewhere I crossed the invisible line...now I will never be able to drink again.
The industry can advertise their products how they wish...but they should not be able to promote them as health benefit if it could cause such serious consequences to an unknown few million.

I do NOT believe that the alcohol industry should be encouraging drinking as a health benefit. Just where in the article does it say that the alcohol industry is encouraging or promoting drinking as a health benefit?
I have seen no magazine articles, no television ads, no billboards that say "Drink Beer. It's healthy."
