and now, "Biloxi, Biloxi, Biloxi!"
They won't be saying "New Orleans, New Orleans, New Orleans!" just yet. Look for that warning to come out around midnight.
I hope they have a great waterproof foundation/basement...
Now that's serious trouble.
Better safe than sorry.
You're right.

You must be glad you are in Baton Rouge. I would not want to be anywhere east of there for the next day and a half! :=)
the superdome is an aerodynamic building....
I do hope Brit has enough men and blow on hand. She won't need much clothing as she doesn't wear much.
It is the most beautiful day in BR with gusts of wind, really beautiful. We are on a lake and it is shimmering with waves. The fishermen are out, a bass boat is right at the end of my back yard!
"Waterproof"? In Southeast Louisiana? Ain't nothing "waterproof" in Southeast Louisiana...:-)
Landfall eye predictions now changing to Western Mississippi..
I know that So. Miss. Thursday night game has been postponed, as has Tulane's game scheduled for Saturday, I believe.
yeah, but I don't trust Ivan. I have a feeling about him going more west. Bye yall, gotta go help hubby cut down trees {dang, men look so manly when they have a chain saw!}. Be back if the power holds out.
Ivan appears to be undergoing a Rapid Intensification Cycle right now, convection is quickly expanding and wrapping around the center. I would not be surprised to see the pressure come down a good bit on the next recon date.
I think that's a smart thing to do! I believe most people are taking this as serious as it really is.
Britney herself is safe on Malibu, she does have a huge 'Gone with the Wind Style' mansion in Kentwood that might be in trouble..
She may want to consider pulling up her pants for a change.
We are okay here. Just chocked full of people. :)
Good test for our infrastructure. Police were busy all night escourting people to shelter. The highways are still crowded and the town is bustling. We still have gasoline available. Food still in stores. Bottled water and batteries are gone, for now.
The stores are very busy and alot of people are on the streets, to-ing and fro-ing.
We've had one small weather band move through. Nothing much, just a little nudge to get people going, I guess. I know it motivated me. :) They say much more is on the way and I am busy.
We have been warned we will lose power and probably be without for days. NOTHING to compare with what is going on a few miles South.
Prayers for everyone, God bless. I'll be lurking but unless I hear something that would help others, I'm out.
Peace and calm to the storm. Pray folks.
now now...ripping on Britney?
I did hear that she intends to spend the honeymoon in the same suite she had her last honeymoon in, the Real World suite at the Palms in LV. tacky.
