At least we'll know from the get-go what we're up against instead of this slobberfest over someone intent on selling out you and your children. Check out what I mentioned and find out for yourself.

This is the same guy I yelled at when the secret service/police agents dragged him by my seat...

"Be sure to thank a soldier who gave you the right to do that"

His reaction was priceless!

You mean this protester who was in Colorado at a Bush Event Today, the one in this picture, was also in North Carolina a Bush Rally?

Huge crowds in Colorado, today, following up on those in Michigan yesterday. By the way, on his radio show this afternoon, Michael Medved said the latest California polls show Kerry leading GWB by only 6 or 7 points. I'm very disappointed that Gov. Schwarzenegger isn't doing any campaigning in the state (at least none I know of) even for down-ticket Republicans. He also doesn't seem to be doing anything to help rebuild the GOP here.

Is it just me, or is there something creepy about that dark-haired guy in the center of this photo next to the man with a beard and directly under someone's armpit? I know it could be the sunlight, whatever, but the way he is looking at President Bush is just a little strange.

Hey Jokelahoma! I was just thinking about you after a couple of back-and-forth emails with "Papa's Pet" and "MimiG". I was wondering why you don't post here much.

Sure wish I could {s goatgirl} on this board. LOL

Actually there's a 99.9% chance he doesn't have a son in the military. By the looks of the guy, I'd say his son probably served in WWI.

Cheers!

If the guy is not disturbed, he should be examined to see if he is some bum a DNC operative paid with a few packs of cigarets to hold up the sign.

I post when I can (occasionally breaking a few employer rules ~cough~) but hardly in the same threads you do, for some reason. Glad to hear they're both okay! Tell 'em I said "hi" and get them signed up here!

Still doesn't fix the "Chiefs fan with newfound respect for Elway" problem I'm having though. I'd swear there was a little foam in the corner of my mouth earlier, and I'm twitching a lot. Oh well, I'll recover.

Freepers in Colorado need to tell their friends to vote against the unconstitutional Amendment 36 that will be on the ballot. It would change the allocation of Electoral College votes from winner-take-all to propotional. The campaign is being funded by weathy interests in California. I wonder why they don't propose the same type of amendment to be passed by a state-wide referendum in California?

It is unconstitutional, because it is a referendum. The constitution very specifically says that the state legislatures, and only the state legislatures have the authority to determine the method by which electors are chosen! The Colorado legislature very specifically rejected such a system.

As long as large states like California, New York and Texas do not change from a winner take all system, it is not in the interest of small states like Colorado to do so.

I also don't want to forgot to mention that it also violates the federal election code. The method by which the electors is selected must be in place before (as I recall at least six days prior to) the date the electors are chosen which is election day. Even if the a referendum were a valid mechanism of determining the method of allocating electors, this referendum is too late to affect the 2004 election. This referendum should be fought in court and removed from the ballot.

Article II.

Section 1
The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice-President chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows:

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.
