"AP stands by its story about anti-Bush SEAL "

It's story is just what this guys said, and even if he's lying through his teeth, AP can be right in saying he said it. It appears they did nothing to check the story itself -

BTW if this guy was in the Philipines and Vietnam for over 5 years - just how does he have any first-hand knowledge of what Bush was doing ?

Actually, I made two moon landings as a NASA astronaut.

(But it was under another name, and I won't tell you what it was.)

You believe me, don't you?

Hey, maybe now the AP will quote me as an expert on NASA issues? They'll just take my word for it about my moon landings, without checking.

What a load of horse crap. This fake SEAL could clear up the situation with a couple of sentences. When did he go through training? What teams were he assigned to? When and where was he in Viet Nam "for five years total?" What are the names of some of his team mates who will certainly remember this SEAL who was in Viet Nam for five years?

This is such a steaming load of bull crap. Of course, the AP just takes this liar's word for it, because he was slamming Bush.

If I were to put forth into print, claims against others by an alleged Navy Seal, you can bet I'd PRESS THE ISSUE by asking for the name under which he was Navy Seal.

Even a bank won't take your word for it whomever you "claim to be" when you want to open an account....much less withdraw funds.

I'd think a JOURNALIST, especially writing a defamatory piece and whose reputation, therefore, is at stake (if that's of any concern, of course), would DEMAND PROOF & CREDENTIALS, etc., JUST LIKE A BANK.
