LOL, great point, I don't believe they did.
He shouldn't worry--Dem vote fraud will more than make up for any blacks Bush keeps away from the polls.
And the nerve of Republicans, wanting voters to show ID when they vote. Why, if businesses had the temerity to do that when accepting checks, no black people would ever go shopping. And of course Banks would never dream of asking for ID when a black person opens an account--I mean, how intimidating. Surely airlines wouldn't ask a black person for identification before issuing a boarding pass. Motor vehicle departments would only cater to white people if they stooped to require driver's license applicants to prove who they were.
If Kerry is so concerned about the value of one's vote why isn't he concerned about the 46,000 New Yorkers who are also registered to vote in Florida?
Republicans don't suppress votes. That's old hat politics. Maybe he should send his "proof" of "Republicans suppressing the black vote" to Dan Rather.
It's comical to see Kerry in black churches.
Blacks turning out en masse to vote for Kerry gives new meaning to "black sheep."
Tx Bluebonnet Suggests Kerry Should Stop Taking Teresa's Meds
The president raised a serious question to black voters and that is what exactly have the democrats done lately to help them.
The answer is nothing. The Dems rely on old Democratic values to support blacks... but the progressive dems have long since left those important values behind. Just talk to ZELL... There is a huge negative difference in the democratic party of 20 years ago and the party today.
Another fraudulent soundbite to try and sKeer quasi-informed voters.
Never mind that it was the Democrats who tried to steal Florida based on the fact that some of their voters' mommies couldn't take them by the hand in the voting booth.
Desperate measures by unpriniclpled frauds.
"Why doesn't he just say that he supports a completely free and fair election rather than single out the votes of African Americans as needing protection?"
Because Kerry is a Democrat. Now...for our alphabet lesson of the day...'D' is for Democrat or Devisive (those terms are interchangable)
His Party promises to be a good Massah'.
Oh my, After the Dems efforts to suppress the Nader vote, they should not have a leg to stand on. It would be nice if somone in the press or Bush camp would call them on this.
.
Especially funny how Kerry tried to sneak out at the end of his speech and was called to return so he could be forced to embrace the host.
I think African-American middle class voters have a choice this year.
Bush has impressed them with his faith-based initiative and business-friendly tax policies.
It's not just that Kerry's new soundbite sounds desperate, but that it sounds so *paranoid*.
I mean seriously, if a Republican got caught even *suggesting* a tactic to prevent Blacks from voting, we'd get an election clobbering that we haven't seen since Goldwater took us down in '64. Forget doing, even the *suggesting* of such a thing on our part would ruin our Party. The liberal news media would *never* let us hear the end of it. It would be the best thing to happen to the Democratic Party since FDR.
But here comes Senator Kerry, acting decidedly unPresidential, saying that we aren't just suggesting such an outrageous thing, but that we have done it and are going to do it again on the scale of a *million* votes!
Such a claim goes beyond merely being ridiculous. No, such a statement is fully, wild-eyed, black helicopter paranoid and delusional.
...And he's their top choice for our highest office. They are *so* hosed.
1 Full Legislative Day Left Until The AWB Expires
Usually there is a grain of truth, distorted beyond belief in many of the Democratic party rants.
I feel that may be the case here. While what Kerry is doing is dispicable, to understand ones enemy, you must get into their head.
If you believe that Kerry must win (heaven help you if you do), then getting all the African Americans possible to vote is a good strategy in swing states.
If you see Republicans wanting to make sure that only legal citizens and people who do not have felony convictions where they forfeited their rights to vote are allowed to vote, you too might play the race card.
We have seen in San Francisco where Dem's want illegal aliens to vote in school district races. We have seen talk in some states about party organizers wanting permission to go into prisions to register people to vote. There are even recent stories about voter registration drives in foreign contries, especially Canada, to try to get former US residents to sign up to vote in this presidential election. The Dem's are trying to stack the deck anyway they can.
This is all out war from the Dem's perspective, if they don't regain some federal power (US House, US Senate or Oval Office) they feel that their political ideology and partronage machine will be destroyed and the Nader's of the world may pick up their core constituency. They are despirate to win.
As soon as the Dems are through scurrying around to second-hand stores and find the appropriate IBM Font Ball, they will.
You ain't seen nothing yet. The REAL October surprise will come 3-5 days before the election.
Do you remember when the 2000 "Bush drunk driving" thing came out? 3-5 days before the 2000 election.
Until then, look for a sequel to the 2000 James Byrd ad where George Bush drove the pickup truck that murdered James Byrd, look for "Republicans starve children" and will "take SS money away from seniors", look for the Republicans pushing seniors in wheelchairs down the stairs, etc.
How will the Republicans respond?
Bush will say "Kerry served honorably". Look for Colin Powell to apoligize for Dick Cheney's comment about Kerry and defense. Look for the Bush team to continue to say very nice things about John Kerry while at the same time Republcians are called Nazis, liars, and while they produce fake memos.
When will the Republicans ever grow a spine?
Kerry himself is going to supress the "black vote", whatever that term is supposed to mean. I prefer the term "American Vote".
And some of those Americans are turned off by Kerry and his "blue blood". I think many will stay home because he is failing to energize them. The only people Kerry energizes are left wing kooks it seems.
Without a big Black turnout the dems are done in elections of president and senator
In majority black districts such as for the house it doesn't matter but for electoral college and senator they need big turnouts
They only way the dems have of energizing them for Kerry is by insinuating the GOP is trying to curb their vote
Kerry has no appeal to them at all with his high falluting NE attitude
