My father died this afternoon. He, too, was a veteran and a wonderful man. Thanks for posting this tribute to your Dad.

Fracas, you have my prayers also. To have a wonderful man as your father is to have a bountiful legacy.
We are thankful to his service to us as well. My life has been secure, thanks to veterans like your Dad.

My heart goes out to both of you. Thank you for all your fathers did to preserve our country and bring honor to the name of America. I am so proud this is my home. God bless you and God Bless America.
Heavenly Father, please be with the families of these two veterans. Comfort them as they morn the passing of great men, help them remember how they cared for their loved ones and to recall the triumph each brought to America and the cause of liberty. Father help us to remember each one who has given so much for our freedom. We thank You that our country has been blessed with these sons and that the world was blessed by Your Son. May we live in such a way that one day we will be welcomed by You. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You tearful thanks for the life of a Dad who now rejoices in Your presence. How remarkable the simplicity of a life well-lived ... that a beloved son can convey the heart of his Dad with "he was a wonderful man." Surround Fracas and his family with the comfort of Your presence, O God, for a light has gone from their household, yet just beyond the shadows, this much-loved American Hero is bathed in eternal sunshine. May Your Name be praised forever, Amen ...

Not good with words but I offer someone else's song as a comfort....the song from President Reagan's Processional
***THE MANSIONS OF THE LORD*** from the movie "We Were Soldiers"
To fallen soldiers let us sing Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing Our broken brothers let us bring To the Mansions of the Lord
No more bleeding, no more fight No prayers pleading through the night Just divine embrace, eternal light In the Mansions of the Lord
Where no mothers cry and no children weep We will stand and guard though the angels sleep All through the ages safely keep The Mansions of the Lord
