On a day that is supposed to be for remembering those lost, the Dems are actually going to stain it with a statement to counter Bush's comments? And they claim that Bush is politicizing 9/11? Amazing!!!

"...and Kerry Democrat response to President statement "

Is it going to take him 40 minutes again to gather his thoughts?

First a rebuttal to the President's acceptance speech at the convention and now a rebuttal to his 9/11 comments? I think he has officially entered his crash and burn mode.

It's part of the new Leftist political marketing calculus: never give the opponent face tyime that you can't counter. unfortunately for the Left, they still think they aren't "getting their nmessage out", but in fact they are.

And we have seen that, the more their message gets out, the more it is rejected (as evidenced in polling data). Most of them cannot comprehend that their message is being consistently rejected, no matter hoy they package it, repeat it, re-shuffle it. The fact is, most people just want to be positive and free.

Great proclamation by President Bush. My only concern is in the math. 2004 minus 1776 equals 228, not 229. Sorry if I'm wrong thinking on this, but, like most conservatives, I'd rather be right than happy :) LOL

You are incorrect. You must add 1 to account for the first year, 1776.

"We will tell them that on September 11th, ordinary men and women became heroes at a moment’s notice – and so can you.

I thought it a strange comment, also!

"They went to work, as they did every morning, were killed in cold blood by islamists and Kerry is telling us OUR GRANDCHILDREN CAN TOO?"

I can't stand the thought that this appears that I'm defending him, so please look at it as just presenting another possible meaning for what he said. He might have been referring to the ordinary men and women who became heroes by attending to the injured, comforting the devastated, supporting the fallen, etc. Much the same as in Oklahoma City when ordinary citizens climbed into the buildings to try finding survivors.

President's National Days of Prayer and Remembrance Proclamation

How can Kerry take an opposing position on that?

I just read Kerry's speech - it was a campaign speech. He talked about all that the people from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevade did to help the fallen? Isn't it funny that the three states are battlegrounds? What about people from the other 47?

If you noticed Kerry's "response" basically was anecdotes of "poor working class people". His opposition party statement was an effort to not be:

The glaring difference between Bush and EFNK

President Bush: "America was attacked with deliberate and massive cruelty." [The attackers are the bad guys]

JFnK: America was attacked because we were wrong. We have made folks not like us and we need to act in such a way as to please all peoples of the world. America was at fault. Bush was at fault. [Kerry has said just this more or less multiple times]

JFnK, you are not worthy to clean my toilet, you filthy socialist POS traitor. And that goes for the rest of the Communist Party posing behind the "democrat" name as well.

I am attempting to control my anger.

I would just like to know why in the hell anyone believes we give a damn about having Kerry give a rebuttal? He wasn't involved in the events of 9-11. He was shellshocked in the capitol for near an hour! Only the people of MASS and those personally impacted by Kerry during 'Nam knew his name, America surely didn't.

When is it going to be knocked into these Bush-haters heads that if they acted with due reverance and respect toward our Commander-In Chief for his actions in the WOT (specifically surrounding 9-11) that they wouldn't be on the precipice of losing all ties to the power they covet?

Kerry's response to 9-11 should have been simple. Meet with families in private- no press. No pictures that coincidentally are released to papers hours later. Issue a statement from his office remembering the loss of life, honor those that served America during this time (including our Prez), pledge we need to continue to aggressively fight this war..and end with prayer for our nation.

Why do the Dems not understand this would refelect positively on them?

Did he lead? Not on the Gridley, not on the Swiftboats,
and certainly not in the Senate! Perchance he led the Vets against the War, but it now appears the North Vietnamese were in charge of that.....
