I just heard the same report on FOX.
Certainly woke me up. Now for the coffee.
Hopefully, there will be some updates soon.
Thanks...good to know it's not TEOTWAWKI yet;) Do you think what happened on the San Andreas was just a release?
Well, I guess that puts to rest the report that Zawahiri was "nabbed" in Pakistan.
The bright side is...still no word from OBL.
What are you guys talking about? What was reported on fox? Please . . . :^)
Zawahiri released a new tape today.

NEW QAEDA TAPE RELEASED
A tape carrying a voice purported to be that of Ayman al-Zawahri, Osama bin Laden's deputy, has been released calling for attacks on British and American interests.
The voice also demands Muslims fight to "liberate Palestine".
The Egyptian is believed to be Osama bin Laden's right-hand man and one of the architects of the September 11 attacks on the US.
In the recording he says it is the duty of every Muslim to "liberate Palestine" from Israel.
He said Muslims must attack Americans and Jews and spoke of resistance in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Chechnya.
And he says "crusaders" in the Muslim world must be defeated.
The voice on the tape is said to sound similar to previously recorded messages attributed to him.

Army bomb experts are examining a number of suspicious objects
A security alert has begun after suspicious objects were uncovered during a search in the Waterside area of Londonderry.
It is understood that the haul may include six coffee-jar bombs.
The items were found in a garden shed at a house in Lincoln Courts on Friday.
Army bomb disposal experts are at the scene and residents have been moved from a number of houses in the area to a local community hall. (snip)

Feds puzzled by sheriff's terror alert (Cincinnati)
http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2004/10/01/loc_terroralert01.html
A few *heads up* tidbits to be discerned from the Cininnati article, IMO:
>The sheriff said he felt compelled to send the letter because of recent conversations with federal authorities and information via the Internet about possible terrorist strikes before the election. He said the information he received about terrorism justified an immediate response.<
>>In the letter, addressed to "the citizens of Greater Cincinnati," Leis and Streicher urged people to be alert to suspicious activity, such as people photographing locations, drawing maps or leaving packages unattended.<<
>>>The sheriff said he would send extra patrols, starting today, into shopping malls, near schools and in neighborhoods throughout the county.<<<
>>>>"This is the last opportunity."<<<<
>> Our troops and our LEOs have been doing an outstanding job in preventing another terrorist attack on the U.S. Citizen involvement is outstanding, too. <<
Agree 100%. What seems unusual is it's in 11 cities and right before the debate. The number of incidents and the timing seem a bit suspect.
>> Not to mention, our first responders are already exhausted in FL because of the hurricanes. <<
Good point.

In case there was no followup on TM re: the Norwegian flight, here's another link. I guess I missed it before that the attacker was Algerian, and that he actually managed to smuggle the axe on board...

Norwegian pilots land plane after axe attack by passenger
(snip)
Both pilots and one of the passengers, who are all between 30 and 45 years old, suffered "light head injuries" during the attack, the local Bodoe hospital said in a statement, adding that "their conditions are stable".
Shortly after the plane finally landed in Bodoe, police arrested the man, discovering a box-cutter in his pocket. Military sniffer dogs were then sent in to search the plane.
"He is from Algeria. He was born in 1970. This is an asylum-seeker who has been turned down ... As far as we can tell he is psychologically unstable," Vangen said, adding that the attacker had not spoken since his arrest and that he would soon undergo a medical examination.
Police first suspected that the man had used a security hatchet already onboard the plane in the attack, but by Wednesday afternoon it was clear that he had smuggled an axe onto the plane with him.
