I see several variations in the forms of the letters.
Is this due to repeated coping?
Most likely yes. If you look very closely at the same letters and numbers in the CBS memos they don't even look exactly the same. They have little blurs and fuzzy areas around them. What the MS word overlap proves though is that every single letter from Word matches up precisely on top of where the memo's letters should be - which means that the memos letters were autocentered and assembled using a word processor in default settings and fonts.
