Times Roman has been available since 1931, but only in linotype printshops...until released with Apple MacIntosh in 1984 and Windows 3.1 in 1991.

Assuming you troopers are exactly factually correct, this point seems...

Well, that originally my post, and I might need to correct myself: True Type Times New Roman was introduced sometime in 1991; The Macintosh had its own "Times Roman" font in 1984, I cannot recall the name.
