Whoever did this,wasn't thinking in 2004 terms.This is old stuff,that they used to be able to get away with before there was the net,FR,talk radio,and FNC.Nobody was thinking about what FREEPERS are able to do,when we all get the bit between our teeth! :-)
That's a much better way to get at CBS,than to write to CBS directly.
My wife works at a TV station (ABC). I'll ask her about FCC license renewals--I think they come up every year. I know that the public can write to the FCC to comment on the station's "(ir)responsible use of the public airwaves" when these licenses come up for renewal. We'd probably be swatting at windmills, but it would certainly make a wave if we could get a grassroots write-in movement going to complain to the FCC about CBS's attempt to smear the president and indirectly spoof a national election.
