And let us assume, just for the sake of argument that IBM did make some sort of whiz bang unit back then with such capabilities. Would anyone in their right mind believe that a national guard flunky would have one in his office? Bwahahahah! Yeah right!

It wouldn't even be the NG flunky who had this gee-whiz wonder gadget. It would probably be sitting in a cubicle outside his office that was manned by an E-3 or E-4 yeoman (sorry, I only know the Navy term for a clerical worker).
