Not to beat our own drum, but you can post ANY question here and get it answered by people with expert knowledge in less than 30 minutes. We constantly have stuff here---not always in the articles, but often in the commentary---that is way ahead of the news. And that's how newspapers used to be prior to Jackson: a "broadside" would arrive in an inn or tavern or coffee house and people would gather as a literate person read. Then they would begin to interject opinions and expertise and "edit" the story as they went. They would quickly decide if it was true or not!
So true. I asked a pretty obscure question about French political history (when was the Fourth Republic?) last week and got three correct responses within ten minutes. LOL
