And one expert says he thought it could have been done on a typewriter but he had absolutely no explanation for the superscript. York also said that several other experts had looked at the documents and said they believed it was not done on a typewriter.

The superscript is the smoking gun!

I did subscript and superscript on my typewriters in the 70's, but had to do so by slightly turning the paper roll bar clockwise or counterclockwise. But you didn't get smaller letters when you did that--you got the same sized letters just a little higher or lower. The smaller letters to me are the tipoff, not necessarily the fact that they are superscripted.
