That pic sure brings back memories. I learned to typeset on a Comp 4. It had a small memory and film inside which had to be processed, than pasted up on grid paper.

Compugraphic paper was standard litho paper on a roll, which needed to be developed, then fixed, then rinsed.

If you did not take good care of the chemicals, it would fade into sepia which could not be shot by a litho camera.

I shot litho camera from 1975 to 1983, also did pasteup and pre-press. I was very glad when they got rid of the old Compugraphics, the typesetters were usually too lazy to clean their machines and the type was always garbage.

No human being on earth would use it for memos. It was very specialized, for printing ONLY.
