VDH is a brilliant guy but is wrong about the most important part. The pals should NEVER have 95% of the West Bank and a seperate state. That would give them the right to control that air space and enter into treaties with whomever and for whatever purpose, including the free reign to purchase whatever arms they choose. The reality is that Syria-Iran is controlling a signifcant portion of the pal government and Egypt looks the other way while arms are smuggled into the Gaza strip. There are already some 22 Arab states, do they need a 23rd? Lets face it, the ONLY reason for a pal state is the destruction of Israel. If the Arabs REALLY gave a crap about their arab brothers in "palestine" why do they let them live in squallor? The oil rich states could easily erase the misery of the pals. They let them live that way as a constant slap in the face of Israel and to foster hatred sufficient to breed suicide bombers. NO palestian state. Jordan is their proper home.
