I assume you know this... the write in all likelihood does not... but Nixon actually was re-elected in 1972.

The best use for old Rolling Stone issues as kindling in your fireplace. Or as toilet paper ;-)

The ever-canny Ronald Reagan was the only Republican president since Eisenhower who managed to serve two full terms.Yawn.
The ever-canny Bill Clinton was the only Democratic president since Roosevelt who managed to serve two full terms.
Oh, and Rolling Stone considers President Reagan "ever-canny" now. Back when President Reagan was actually President, he was brainless and out-of-touch as far as Rolling Stone was concerned.

There I was, in the grocery store magazine aisle, politics on my mind, looking for something thought provoking and informative. What to do?
Do I buy Time?
Purchase Newsweek?
USN&WR?
The Nation?
New Republic?
Forbes?
Suddenly it was clear. The clouds in my mind parted like the Red Sea before Moses himself. God was clearly speaking to me as I reached out to grasp what I had been seeking but could not find.
Rolling Stone: =the magazine of political record.

(First Cheney impresses someone rich or powerful and causes unearned wealth to be conferred on him, then when things go wrong he moves on to someone more advantageous . . .?)
First John F. Kery impresses someone rich or powerful (his first wife) which causes unearned wealth to be conferred on him, then when things go wrong he moves on to someone more advantageous (Teresa Heinz) . . .?
Just osking . . . .

Those in the old elitist wing of the party thought the decision to dump Rockefeller was both stupid and wrong: "I think Ford lost the election because of it," one of Kissinger's former aides says nowHilarious! This writer is a cut-up!
Just imagine! If only Cheney hadnt made that dolt Ford get rid of Nelson Rockefellow, he would have been elected President!! Who'd a thunk it?!
To: RepublicanPizza
Is this the same
Rolling Stone that theorized that Nixon's men were involved in the assassination of JFK?
Yes, it is.
Still flaky after all these years.

T.D. Allman is a notorious Bush Hater. He has a book out or something about how bad Reagan was.
