As requested, I prayed for relief of Miss Ohio the Younger's wrist. And for Ohio and environs while TDFrances hangs around.

Sedalia is just a few minutes away from Warrensburg, MO where is the Whiteman Air Force Base. People in that part of Missouri know how to support the military and military families!!!!!!

***you're about 17 hours ahead of us.
Did I do that right?**

Yes that is right - we will be on summer time at the end of October when our clocks go forward one hour. Do you have summer time zones there?

Hey Homemom! My daffodils are increasing every year; I planted mine when we moved into our new home 4 years ago. The daffodil is the symbol of the Cancer Council here in New South Wales - so they are sold in some places to raise money for cancer research. Tulips are just gorgeous - we are coming up for Tulip season here in our Southern Highlands - where the air stays cold even in spring. Do you have lots of snow where you are in winter?? I don't know how I would cope with snow.

Most of the country switches to Daylight Savings Time in the spring ("spring forward") and back to standard time in October ("fall back"). This year it's October 30.

That's the same day we change over as well. When that all changes our 17 hour difference will blow out to 19 hours then. Yikes! I have my computer set on Eastern time so I can have some sort of idea what time it is over there. I have just had my breakfast and now it's off to work for me. Enjoy the rest of your day/evening/night! (I think I got everything covered there. hehehe)

Hello!

I live in the middle of Nebraska and we have definite seasons. Trouble is, any season could be on any given day, and there are times we have two or even three seasons in a day! We do have snow in the winter.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, this is supposed to be a bad winter, meaning lots of snow and cold. I too get very tired of the snow by the time spring comes. Generally we have snow from Oct. to March. It's usually not cold ALL that time, but then again a few years ago we had many days in a row where the windchill was -70. On the other hand, there can be days in Jan. when it's 70 degrees above! All in all it's an adventure. :-)

The last week or so has been absolutely beautiful--higs 75-80, no wind, clear skies. I love fall and hope we have this nice weather for a long time.

Hope this wasn't too much information for you--dont' want to bore you!

thank you homemom - you have satified my curiousity. We have such mild weather where I am in Winter usually mid 60's during the day. I could not imagine what I wind chill factor of -70 would be like. Other than very, very cold! hehe

Oh, phancy, I've been meaning to book a hotel too! I was at the 2000 Inauguration and I plan to be at this one too! Can't wait! And, I hope to meet up with lots of Freepers. Last time, I booked at the last minute but was lucky to find a room at a small hotel (Lincoln Suites). Wasn't sure what kind of hotel it would be, but I didn't care....and it turned out fine. Being at the Inauguration was awesome!

Book one now!
We had a little trouble finding a room in downtown. Last time we were in a more questionable area of the city and had some unwanted "adventures". Let's just say a bunch of blonde 20-somethings in ballgowns shouldn't get lost in a strange city at 1am!
