A Day in the Life of President Bush - 9.7.04
Whitehouse.gov, Yahoo.com | 9.7.04 | ohioWfan

Posted on 09/07/2004 1:37:52 PM PDT by ohioWfan

President Bush continued his bus tour of Missouri today with appearances at Lee’s Summit High School, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, a stop at a business in Warrensburg, then on to the Missouri State Fair Coliseum in Sedalia for an “Ask the President” event, after having appeared before a crowd of 30,000 cheering supporters in Poplar Bluff last evening. The President is scheduled to travel through Missouri by bus for the rest of the day and return to the White House this evening.

It’s a GOOD time to be a Bushbot! Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!

A ping is like a page, only online. To check your pings, click on "Pings" on the "Forum" page (the page title becomes "My Comments" after you click on the link).

It stems from some procedure involved with finding stuff on the Internet and getting an "echo" -- a ping -- (kind of like Navy sonar) to let the prober know he hit a target.

I know what you mean about daffodils being happy little flowers. Trumpets of the great green season, Easter blessings, and so forth. Can you tell I love to garden? ;-)

I really enjoyed the pics in this thread. I got a phone call on Friday about the President's appearance and I wanted to be at the gathering, but it turned out I had something that just could not be cancelled. And on top of that, I remembered how I react to over-zealous security freaks and decided it was just better if I appreciated the President's remarks from my living room.

TroutStalker, SuziQ (and barker) I have been under the radar lately. But a big cloud has been lifted from my life recently. You may even see me posting a little these days.

I just saw lagamorph tonight. We went to Jack Cashill's premier of "Mega Fix: The Dazzling Political Deceit That Led To 9/11".

Admin Mod: please do not admonish me because of restrictions on advertising. Jack Cashill is a favorite local conservative, and I have no financial interest in the success of his film. I only know he is the one who brought me from the dark side into the light. fsf

My hubby did not believe that water ran out the plug hole the opposite way until we visited Hawaii for a vacation one year. I told you so, I said.

I didn't believe it either, when I first heard it. I had to ask a number of people before I was convinced.

I haven't heard about this flick, what's it about and who does it cast blame on?

Have you noticed that even when they catch W in an off balance pose, he still looks cool. He just can't take a dorky picture. He is the best.

HERE! HERE! Right on.

we visited Hawaii

Don't you have to be south of the equator for the rotation of the draining water to reverse? Hawaii is in the northern hemisphere isn't it?

surrounded by fellow Bush supporters - how lucky you all are to have such a fine man as your President!

Especially after the eight years of clinton hell. Free Republic was a research center during that time, once it started up (which I think was somewhere around 1994 - 96 -- blubba's first term). I think this site was begun because the owner, Jim Robinson, and like-minded FRiends, got the bum's rush over at Yahoo's message board for their anti-clinton attitudes. Being a massive proponent of free speech, JimRob took it upon himself to set this place up. It's evolved substantially and all for the good.

Glad to hear from you. Had been wondering where you were. Had a computer crash a while back and no longer have your email addy. Would you email or FReep mail it to me. You've missed out on some good stuff ;-)

The Prez was in fine form today. Security wasn't the hassle I thought it would be.

Jack Cashill rocks.

Hadn't heard about it either but from Cashill's earlier work it will NOT blame mechanical failure or faulty wiring.

Jack weaves a story that combines all the terrorist attacks that occured during the Clinton years, but basically centers it around the TWA 800 flight explosion.

With all the left wing wacko's out there who would celebrate any harm that might come to our President, I don't mind the minor inconvenience of tight security one bit.

I was there when President Bush addressed the National Fallen Firefighters' Memorial in Emmitsburg, MD (Just outside of Camp David) on the day he announced the start of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, It was in December of 2001. The Security was unbelievable, but I understood why. We cannot afford to see any of our Presidents assassinated ever again

I would imagine Cashill's film hammers Richard Clark then?

Because I firmly believe that Richard Clark was one of those who spent more time trying to pat himself on the back for the good work of the USA/Canadian Border Guard that foiled the Y2K Bombing Plot intended for Seatle, than he ever did trying to secure this country from the terrorist who struck us on 9/11

Thanks for the tips Gretchen! I still have my Learner Plates on like a Learner Driver!!
Speaking of happy flowers - i also think that daisies fall into that category as well. I bought some punnets of little purple daisies which I will plant this weekend. I am also a BIG garden person myself. I have lavender, rosemary, roses - basically anything that smells nice in my little garden.

***Especially after the eight years of clinton hell.***
I was in San Francisco the night that George HW lost that election and I felt that there was a sense of uncertainty of what was to come. I was and still am such a fan of George HW and I was so sad for him and his family. Thank goodness you all got through it and have such a good man in charge nowadays.

Hi tommix2,

Yes, the swirling direction changes in the equatorial region. ozbushkin is in Australia and we are in the US -- hence, the disbelief in her husband till he got to Hawaii.

What's a punnet?

I love the fragrant ones too. I have only a small, narrow, long patio so I have to garden in containers. This year among the fragrant plants, I got petunias (lavendars and purples to get the lovely aroma); cosmos, and alyssum. I love marigolds, and geraniums -- all varieties -- and have lots, but they stink! Each year I try to put in something I've not tried before. This year one new one was impatiens, and I love how they multiply.

Squirrels ate most of my many spring bulbs last fall and winter -- daffys, tulips, crocus, Grecian windflowers, you name it. Now I know to sprinkle red pepper on the ground if I plant more bulbs, to keep the critters in someone else's garden.

I missed what happened with your daughter. Can you direct me to where the info is, or do a thumbnail reprise?
