Don't be fooled. Beckle is NOT a moron. This cat is shrewed, crude, and vicious. Although I belive him to be a Zell Democrat deep down inside, his slime ball techniques are usually delivered in a stright shooting style. He can sometimes actually talk about stuff that's "off talking points" with some of the more intellectual guests. The point is that tonight he was shaken to the core. It was almost like the lie he lives hit him in the face. In fact, he covered his face with his hands a couple of times. That's some serious body language from a guy like him, and his mumbles and attempts to talk over others was also uncharacteristic. Implosion is a bitch.

I have seen Beckel like this before. He has never managed a winning campaign at the Presidential level. (I suppose he must have some sort of positive track record at lower levels or how else does he get hired every 4 years to work Presidential campaigns?) He is trying to act as thought the Republican questions/points are so stupid that he simply cannot believe he is expected to answer them.

I agree he isn't a moron. He is a millionaire who thinks populism is the only winning strategy. He is also totally ruthless in a union goon type way.

I do not know how these guys can continue denying the polls.
W is up 5-8 points, head to head and his advantage on issues and attributes is 15-20+.

And the Swiftees have another ad. I do not think the use of tapes/videos of Kerry from the 1970's can be refuted. The 28-minute movie will take care of the *out of context* defense, in due time.
