What I was pleased to hear was that several of the local Russian gentlemen had ran home and got their rifles. They were willing to defend their families. Even though the outcome was not as we had wished I can appreciate the fact that these men were going to do what they felt was their only option and that was defending their people through their abity to own firearms. Before this act of war I never thought I had much in common with Russians. Now all that has changed.

Actually, about 5000. And that fact is one of the reasons SO many hostages died, unfortunately.... This is a work for professionals, not amatures, amd when I can understand why those people got their guns and rifles, I can not understand why local authorities didn't explain them, that doing this they could harm their children even more, But it's really so hard even to say to someone, whose child is in captivity...
