Anything from the Tides Foundation is scary. In recent years, I've talked to some very credible people who swear that they have had experiences. One of them is my mother. She heard my father's whistle in the house about two years after he died. She is the most down-to-earth person I know and has never entertained anything paranormal. She is convinced that my father tried to let her know that he was okay. I've been more and more interested in this over the last couple of years.... especially since this incident.
Why these questions?
So many years of evidence have proven to me there are reasons that these "occurrences" happen. I do not write these off to hallucination. And in re "group experiences" of the paranormal; I study the focus and roots of the existence of this group -- as there is almost always a shared sliver of something. The trick is in finding that something; being a good listener, good questioner, and actually caring about those you are trying to help.
Successful ghostbusters tend to acknowledge or even to pick-up on a particular "vibration", so to speak, and will thereby use language choices which do more to address the person than the "paranormal" stir-er. Do I believe that matter can be moved by human "thought energies"? Yes. I don't uphold the theory that Uri Geller was a complete fraud, for example. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is more to heaven and earth than we can even begin to imagine. There are dimensions that go on all the time around us; sometimes we witness these dimensions. Now, in America, there is tremendous spiritual battle going on just under the surface of what we call "concensus" reality.
And each person has other dimensions they are a part of and involved with. Lastly, Prayer is a very powerful, powerful thing. Liberals pray for the downfall of America -- they have, most overtly, since the 60s. Witness America and the world under attack by evil forces with no moral conscience whatsoever.
I brought up the Tides Foundation flyer, as I found it most curious, especially in light of the alleged suicide. More data will come, I've no doubts of this. I'll understand more about it; and because I will focus an aspect of my mind and heart upon learning in these matters -- ergo, "funny" bits will appear to me. William F. Buckley used to encourage everyone to "pray always and constantly" -- and he's right. Prayer is most powerful.
In re your parents.
My own mom told me years and regularly before her passing, that she would contact me from beyond if and when she might. I've seen her twice since 1980. And each time, was in connection to whether to "fight" or not, some hidious problem/issue. I've heard her voice, her special words more often. I can explain this in practical terms, logically, or I can choose to be as appreciate and grateful as I am for these experiences. Sounds like you love(d) your parents very much.! NO doubts, they love(d) you very much too.
