I understand that the Dems are so desperate that they are planning on shooting spitballs at Bush.

Very uncool. Whining does not impress the voters. I might question his patriotism and his fitness to serve, but in fact none of the convention speakers crossed those lines. But that's politics. What's really inexcusable is not knowing how many games behind the Red Sox are. I can't believe some handler doesn't tell him that billionaire goofballs who try to act like regular guys just come off as annoying.

I read on another thread....(don't remember which one now).....several people said he looked/acted drunk.

Who wants to bet the double standard mainline media will not accuse Kerry of smearing Bush?

The more he attacks Pres. Bush, the worse he looks. Like it or not, Pres. Bush is a likable fellow; someone the average person can relate to. Kerry is pompous and arrogant. He comes off as the elitist that he is in his attacks, and normal people don't just don't like it when an snob attacks the guy next door.
To: ex-Texan
Must have been one of Hillary's operatives who convinced Kerry it was a good idea to echo the title of a book that is in the process of destroying his credibility.

Kerry has gotten pathetic. It's just laughable. He's calling a popular sitting president "unfit for office." How idiotic is that? He's already IN office you moron! It just doesn't work on incumbents. And it strikes me as a little kid saying "I know you are but what am I!"
Kerry is totally losing it. In a really bad way. This new "tougher campaign" strategy of Kerry's is to accuse Bush of Saudi oil conspiracies and "misleading the country into war"?? THIS is what we were waiting with baited breath for? Kerry's winning strategy is to transform into Howard Dean??
Does anyone still believe that this is going to be "a close race"?

"Let me tell you in no uncertain terms what makes someone unfit for office and unfit for duty," Kerry said, turning to Bush. "Misleading our nation into war in Iraq makes you unfit to lead our country. Doing nothing while this nation loses millions of jobs makes you unfit to lead this country. Letting 45 million Americans go without health care for four years makes you unfit to lead this country.
"Letting the Saudi royal family control the price of oil for Americans makes you unfit to lead this country. Handing out billions of dollars in government contracts without a bid to Halliburton while you're still on the payroll makes you unfit to lead this country.
"That, my friends, is the record of George Bush and Dick Cheney -- and that only begins to scratch the surface," he said.
Kerry joins the left-wing black helicopter crowd.

Kerry is way too 60's. He's like some grizzled hippie still holding the the "Hey, hey LBJ" sign.

Kerry is even more stupid than I thought. He won't win the election by going around the country saying, in effect, "I am not unpatriotic." Might the electorate wonder why the lady doth protest too much???
And who came up with the brilliant idea of using the word "unfit" against Bush, which will only remind people of the Swiftees?
Kerry is such a loser. Doing nothing for 20 years in the Senate shrank his brain.
