George Bush will shine in this moment because he will reach out, and pray for Clintoon and his evil wife. He and his family will "bond" with the toon and ask us all to pray for Bill.
I'll give Bush credit there, he always acts with the utmost respect. Actually he gives the Toons more than they ever had given others.
George W. Bush will shine in this moment. It will be a great example of Class he is made of versus the type of "Class" Kerry/Heinz thinks they are.

2. This will be bad for Bush if God forbid Clinton dies. Why? Because a state funeral for a Democrat Pres will be free Democratic press for a week or more, taking the air out of the GOP bump after the convention. Kerry will be all over the media taking advantage of a tragedy. He will get the sympathy bump vote. I disagree. The public has been overdosed on Presidential funerals since the week-long Reagan spectacle. No one will watch Klintoon's. The World Series is coming up.
There will be absolutely NO sympathy bump for Kerry--none, zip, nada--after his Medalsgate comes to the fore, as is happening today.
Vets are mad as hell at Kerry. I have many friends, vets who used to vote Dem, who are goingto vote for Bush in November. They are furious about the medals scam.

Regardless.....They knew about this yesterday...and she should have skipped the engagement that she just appeared at.<<<
The Clintons know kerry is toast. The Hill-Billy's will now be unable to go on the Campaign trail in support of kerry. Hill will not be able to talk on the dem "truth patrol" or whatever.
Clinton will not have this surgery for several more days until the smoke clears - if ever.
Either way, the heat is OFF of the clintons. Come to think of it, a hospital is sort of like an aspirin factory . .

I never heard of anyone being rushed to the hospital with the diagnosis of quadruple bipass already predetermined. Heart attack? I wish him well and hope he has a speedy recovery. I had something similar happen to me during the 2000 election. I went to the doc, told him I was feeling awful, I ended up getting rushed to surgery for a quintuple that same day. Agree that it is odd that they knew it was going to have to be a 4x for Clinton before they opened him up, but heart medicine seems to be advancing at a really rapid pace. They can probably do things now that they couldn't do four years ago-- and I doubt that Billyjeff is going to Podunk General for it- so he's probably got high-end people and technology working for him.
I appreciate that Freepers are taking the high road in this matter in spite of the personal feelings that I'm sure we all would normally have, and not gloating like the adolescents at DU would be, were things the other way 'round.

Clinton state funeral would be a great boost for Kerry. Kerry (not Bush) would get to be the main speaker. It would give Kerry the national spotlight to talk about his Viet Nam heroism and remind Americans that anyone who didn't fight in Viet Nam is pond scum unfit to be President. Actually, Bush, as the sitting president, would be the main speaker at the State Funeral for President Clinton, if Clinton were to slip the bounds of this mortal coil while Dubya was president. Kerry would only get to speak if the family wanted him to.

Yep. She knew he was heading to the hospital this morning before she walked in to that little engagement.
When she got word...she should have left to go to where Bill was at...at once.
Hillary just put politics above family.

Please FReepers, keep this above the DU level!
God willing, I will pray that former President Bill Clinton has a successful surgery and a good recovery.

Kerry has no class.
To: Chad Fairbanks
Clinton will be fine - he is at one of he best hospitals in the US for this kind of stuff.
I'm not seeing much of a political angle on this - but imagine if this were September 2008, with Hillary 60 days from election; then, I'd be very suspicious.

Agreed. Hoping all goes well with the surgery.
