Remember, everyone critized Kerry because he went so fast. He is just trying not to not do that.
I'll bet he's trying to end the speech PROMPTLY at ten so Rather/Brokaw/Jennings can't tear it down before the affiliates take over with their news.
I understand that, everyone was saying he was speaking to slow. I think his speach is great.
