I watched the Bush and Kerry American Legion speeches.
GWB was warmly received and got laughs and much applause.
Kerry's appearance was weird, darkened atmosphere, tight shot on his face only until toward the end. Very sparse and anemic applause. At the end the group that was on the stage did not make any moves to go shake his hand. I would be very interested to hear if some did turn their backs on him.
Roger that cyn....I was waiting to hear what kind of response Kerry got before the American Legion.
I think I heard some mocking of him during his speech; he'd stop and kind of look over to the side and I heard something. Anyone else know? The applause did seem very weak. NO crowd shots!
Can't wait for Zell and the VP!
Anyone watch the Laura Bush Bio on A&E? It was WONDERFUL!
Cyncooper,
Was Kerry's speech at the Legion a doom and gloom speech
Romney is doing a very good job.
Interesting, every Senator I've heard has been horrible behind the podium. But executive types - Mayors, Govs and Lt. Govs - have been clear and focused and commanding, having good report with their audience. It doesn't surprise, then, that the Senate was so uninterested in impeaching Clinton.
The music is better tonight. But then it would almost have to be.
I can call my friend tomorrow and ask him about it again. I'm trying to remember who he was listening to that reported it. Could it have been Hannity? He listens to all the "right" radio.
