Hurricane force winds extend 80 miles from the center (that's a radius - not a diameter). If this manages to strike as a Cat 5 (a four is more likely), then that number could be 90 miles. That means Force 1-to-4 winds over several hours in a 160 mile corridor.

For reference: It is 180 miles from Melbourne to Miami.

I went through Andrew. Because of that, I wasn't to scared of this thing before but now it is starting to scare the crap out of me.
