I remember shaking polaroid pictures to try and get them to dry quicker. Perhaps that's what they meant.

Refers to the song, "Hey Ya" by Outkast. Means to shake your body (dance).

It's from an R and B song. Polaroid put out a press release a while back saying don't shake your polaroid pictures or it will ruin them, but it just means to shake your booty I believe. I'm not an R and B fan.

My son just explained , you know how you have to shake those pictures to dry them.. I think we gained lots of new young voters tonight.

The phrase "shake it like a polaroid picture" is from the Outkast song talking about shaking their booty while dancing. remember "bend over let me see you shake your tail feathers" from "The Blues Brothers" movie same thing.
