Internet - is the connections of computers through that use of multiple communication (software) protocols, which uses physical devices (hardware) to transmit data - the medium.
Web - is short for 'World Wide Web.' The Web uses a specific protocol called HTTP or Hyper Text Transfer Protocol, which transfer the code HTML Hyper Text Markup Language that you get to see when your browser pieces the HTML code together.

I'm guessing internet came first? Web is more user friendly or makes it so people can communicate? I'm so ignorant I can barely form a question to gain better understanding.
Its sort of like owning a car. I know how to drive one but have no idea how the thing is running.
