The NYPD isn't going to sit around and wait for them to get out of control. NYPD is loaded for bear. I'm reminded of Will Smith's line in the first "Men In Black" movie, as he runs in to the cephalopod: "NYPD! That means I will Knock Your Punk-a$$ Down!"

Actually, I did see a story on one of the Big Three's morning shows this week. ABC's I think. One of the victims was on over the phone and was thrilled that the local law enforcement was finally going to look into filing charges. Look into, mind you. A lot of the folks exposed were literally soaked in human waste. Many had to go get hepatitis shots and will need to be monitored for a few months to make sure the don't contract anything. Haven't heard about any charges being filed yet, though. But this is Chicago.

Well, when your ideas suck, all that's left is violence, at least as far as these folks are concerned.

I'll never buy another DMB album again and I live in his adopted home town of Charlottesville, VA. He's put a lot back into this community...a lot but his politics smell like the effuse from his tour bus.
Nice knowing you Dave! It's a damn shame you confused musical talent with knowing anything about politics.

CNN had an amusing take on the matter : It hoped the protesters would not get
too rowdy,because
that might help the Republicans...
Hey ! Go for it, A.N.S.W.E.R. people !!

Wow...talk about a brain trust over at CNN. It probably took 18 Harvard educated analysts and Terry McAullife to figure that one out after 29 hours on a Cray Super Computer.
Man...I'm impressed with that intellect over on the left. Whew...

Karl Rove and company are pleased. Nothing like a huge unruly band of anarchist pot-heads to remind the voters, particularly in the red states, what values Republicans stand for.

Hello,
60+ yrs ago, my grandfather was walking down a street in Chicago w/ my grandmother. He made a negative remark about FDR, a FDR supporter overheard it, and decked him. Broke his nose. This crap is not new, so your analysis is absolutely correct.
Glad to be here, MOgirl

I say:
POWER TO THE PEOPLE !! Occupy the "People's Park" !!
Now, the best way to improve on that scenario is for NY Senators Clinton and Schumer to elbow their way in front of the cameras and defend the mahem the protesters will cause...

LAPD kicked tail on these wackos in 2000 . . . and hopefully in 2004 NYPD has the new high tech gizmos for non-lethal crowd control.

Check out the wide eyed guy on the left.
A man is handcuffed by police across the street from Madison Square Garden before an anti-Bush march organized by United for Peace and Justice in New York Sunday, August 29, 2004, on the eve of the Republican National Convention. The man was questioned and released. (AP Photo/Ted S. Warren)

All joking aside...there are LOTS of mosques in that neighborhood surrounding Madison Sqaure Garden.Have all their basements been searched?
