ST. LOUIS, Missouri (AP) -- Authorities are searching for a pack of highway stunt motorcyclists blamed for a wreck that seriously hurt five people in a sport utility vehicle.
A handful of motorcyclists were on Highway 364 Saturday when they changed lanes and cut off a Ford Explorer, forcing that vehicle to swerve to the right and hit a Chevrolet Suburban.
The Suburban tumbled down an embankment, ejecting most of its eight occupants. Five people in that vehicle were seriously injured; the other three sustained lesser harm. Only one was wearing a seat belt.

By some accounts, a chase vehicle was filming the motorcyclists.
Witnesses said the motorcyclists were "riding wheelies, showing off, doing stunts," with another vehicle following them, Patrol Cpl. Jeff Myers said. He called the antics "total disregard for the safety of others."

Here in NE Ohio we have a group of biker who go by the name of " The Star Boyz" their trademark is to ride in groups of 10-15 bikes during rush hour traffic on the dotted line doing wheelies. They have caused more than one accident as the result of some driver changing lanes and not seeing the idiots

Squids cut cars off all the time. Mere words can't describe the morons who're caught up in this phenomenon.

No way, not a chance. If the idiot on the motorcycle wants to pass somebody in the breakdown lane, they get whatever's coming to them. If the car is in it's lane, left side of it or not, it's high time the cyclist wises up or he's a skidmark.

Not all of them, but the vast majority of them. I have little use for squids or squid bikes.
Thanks. Hadn't heard the name before. Have seen them hot dogging on the freeway, though. A pack of them passed between me and the car I was passing, some of them went around me on the shoulder. I was doing 80 at the time, just after midnight, and I never saw them coming. They were gone in seconds, and the last one (obviously losing the race) almost dumped it on the next curve.
Yawn....

I pulled over and sure enough they started back my way, no doubt delighted they'd find a lone biker. They got close enough to see that I was holding a Sig in my hand and thought better of it.
Pretty typical behavior from the squid set. Terrorizing motorists and others seems to be their bag.
The group of us had pulled over when we saw him with his lights on and he wrote us all up for speeding. He said he paced us doing 74 in a 55 and wrote us up for that. Legally he can not write a ticket to more than one vehicle at a time but it wouldn't be worth trying to fight it. Taking it to the clerk of the court, pleading no contest and have it dismissed for a small fee is much easier.
We did joke about making up shirts with 'official terrorist' on it after he gave us all his little speach. Funny that we terrorize old people but he fails to realize how much they terrorize us.

These guys were racing, and I was just in their way. If they had come by just a couple of seconds later, I might have bounced a couple of them on their asses with my truck. The closing speed was amazing.
