"I'm a "constitution as the founders intended" person"

ROFLOL!

You've shown on this thread that you find whatever you want in the Constitution- you don't care two cents what the Founders intended.

Justice Scalia: "The living Constitutional judge never has to put up with that. Whatever he thinks is good, is in the Constitution."... like the right to own machine guns, bazookas, nukes and chemical weapons without restriction.

According to the founders, I should be able to have access to any weaponry the government has access to.

That is the purpose behind the second amendment.

Hello?

no he hasn't.
insisting it is so, doesn't make it.
you go find your penumbra's in the Constitution, that allow states and federales to regulate guns, ownership, use, licensing, training, registration and possession thereof.

maybe you can find it under "well regulated militia" as the liberals do. But those who support such, will have a hard time getting endorsements or money from the gun lobby. Like it or not.

I suspect alan will clarify or retract this, since he needs both. And if it is a misquote, the editor will be contacted for "missstating" alan's position. If NOTHING happens, the NRA members will know. I would say you could count on that.

imo.
