The wheels are really starting to come off the bus. First he admits that he may not have earned his first purple heart and now he's phoning a friend. I'd say he's only got one life line left.
I can't believe Kerry went to the Phone-A-Friend lifeline when he already knew the answer. What a waste! If he just wanted to be sure he should have just polled the audience of voters.
I bet Kerry was given one week by the Dem national committee. I bet he was told that they would round up a few shills (mayor of San Fran or some such is how far down the barrel they had to go) to go on the air waves. Kerry was told that not one senator or congress critter would back him up, not even McCain, who gave Kerry just one shot. The elected guys don't want to be associated with this if it blew up, Kerry was likely told.
I bet that week is up oh, tomorrow, maybe Thursday.
I think you're right...he used his last lifeline. Surely, surely, he knew those Swifties mean business, surely he knew he would be taped, or at best, somebody would tell.
I think this is probably the first time in Kerry's life that he's actually been slapped up alongside the head and had to pay attention to the harm his self-serving life of lies has done to others.
The little bit of liberal left in me wants to feel sorry for him because men like Kerry (women too)do not intentionally mean to hurt others. They only want to advance themselves and it never occurs to them that they might in their delusional self-centered.
The little bit of liberal left in me might feel sorry for Kerry but this is not a person who should be leading the free world. The powers that allowed him to rise unfettered are as damaging as Kerry's lies.
For that I blame the Democratic party.
