Picking apart a vets record seems a bit unseely doesn't it? But it seems like it becoming accepted practice.

Picking apart a vets record seems a bit unseely doesn't it?The Swift VETS have standing to report their observations and opinions on their fellow vet, Kerry.

I fear it has happened because all too many claim to be combat vets when they are only active duty vets and others claim to be combat heroes when they actually never even served. It has reached the point when none can be taken at face value but all must be verified.

I keep thinking this same thing. It's a distraction. But the Dims did start up on Bush in a similarly underhanded way. And after Rove stabbed McCain to win the nomination in 2000.
Vietnam just stays ugly. It was never worth all this divisiveness and bitterness, the lives lost or wrecked, the huge influence about a police action in a nowhere country no one ever heard of.
But I can grasp why the Swifties honestly resent Kerry too.
