Main excerpt: " However in the famous words of Al Jolson: You aint heard nothin yet. The Swiftees have prepared an October Surprise for Hanoi John that is going to blow his candidacy out of the water. I cant tell you what it is, but I can tell you the television and radio ads have already been taped, and they are going to have an impact like an elephant sitting on a donkey.
The Swiftees have three things in abundance: money, brains, and balls. They know exactly how to go for the jugular, they have the dough to do it, and they are saving their best shot for last. The Democrats will not know what hit them and will not know how to retaliate. Get set folks. The Kerry Train Wreck is not going to be a pretty sight. "

And just who of the alphabets do you think is actually going to show it?
It had nothing to do with Cleland's wounds. That is DU crap.It was all about his voting record period.
Clintoon knew when he was lying and why. Kerry gives every appearance of believing his own BS.
bump for Truth!
O'Neill is a God send to so many of us.
Snore.
Advice to the Kerry campaign: Call 1-800-DIAL-A-PRAYER.
It's also exempt because it's on the internet.

Swift Boat Veterans for Truth is a tax exempt non-partisan public advocacy "527" organization that consists of and is limited to former military officers and enlisted men who served in Vietnam on U.S. Navy "Swift Boats" or in affiliated commands.
The Swift Boats vets may have money, truth, etc on their side...
...but they certainly don't have the media on their side.
I saw NBC Nightly News tonight and Brian Williams took great pains (at least it seemed that way to me) to explain that one of the Swift Boat veterans was actually a Bush-Cheney volunteer.
Amazing (said with much sarcasm) that the media spends so little time actually reviewing the claims of the Swift Boat vets...but spends so much time trying to ruin their credibility.
Pardon my skepticism.
If the lamestream media goes into "full court press" it will be to prevent the truth from getting out to the the American people in order to help a liar "make it to the White House (again)."
Even if they had to stop it would be like having a lawyer say something out of bounds and having the judge say disregard that. The jury still remembers.
Hi.. I wondered that too, but someone, I'm sorry I didn't capture the posters name said this:
...
"My understanding is these organizations will be required to shut-down and shutup 60 days prior to election--correct?
...
I don't think that's strictly true. What has to stop is expenditures of so-called "soft money," the unregulated, no-matter-how-big donations of the sort that George Soros has been providing to MoveOn. IIRC, 527's can still spend "hard money," which has fairly low per-individual limits and stronger reporting requirements.
The Swifties might be in better shape there than MoveOn is. The vast majority of the SwiftVets' money is coming from "large numbers of small donors," as opposed to small numbers of fabulously wealthy liberals like MoveOn's funding. The average SwiftVet donation is around $50. The press would have us believe that there are handful of "Texas Republicans" funding the Swifties, but that is not so. Almost 20,000 people have donated so far.

Someone on another Swiftboat Vets thread (I'm sorry I dont' remember who)posted the information that as long as you're not a corporation or a labor union, you can keep right on advertising. Someone else pointed out that the Swiftboat Vets are NOT incorporated. So, it looks like the ads will continue :)
While we're all fired up, don't forget about THESE VietNam Vets!!

Let's show our support and go to Washington, D.C., on September 12th, and say: T H A N K Y O U !!
'I hope it's something so fantastic that Teddy K first clutches at his chest, then flops onto his side. A real twofer!'
oooohhhh, that's harsh! Harsh and sweet!
I hear that the October suprise has to do with a gay Israeli he smuggled over to run his state's homeland of defense. Oh, that was another democrat... nevermind.
Interesting observation - Hope you are right!
