Sunday morning Kool-aid drinker are you? Won't help Bush's ratings a bit. Every sign points to a Kerry win, though it will be close. The Bush campaign is scared of it's own shadow. For example, they ought to take a different tack and say, regarding the Swift Boat Vets, "we don't have anything to do with those ads, but we support the rights of our veterans, or any person, to speak out on issues they are familar with". In the meantime Kerry ads slime the President, as does the one they released this morning.

I wish the President would stop being Mr. Nice Guy (who usually finish last) with this campaign and tell it like it really is. The MSM is responsible (together with DNC and the 527 groups) for his being behind. Calling for the 527's to cease and desist instead of supporting them with at least a statement that "I don't have anything to do with them, and I support free speech" would go a long way in my book to show he's serious about winning a second term.

And it's the most amazing snarl. It's barely perceptable when he's allowed to spin at will. But when he's challenged, when he loses control, when he's angry at being backed into a corner, that right upper lip almost reaches nostril level.

For Bush to be hurt by any of this, there will have to be absolute proof of collusion. None exists, so its just dim spin.

There's an old saying about "telling a lie often enough...". Hitler was an expert at that and the Dims, their 527 group friends and the MSM are equally expert. Newspaper articles have misleading headlines, articles are nuanced to support liberal/leftwing positions, Bush is bashed/attacked/criticized/mocked for just about any action he takes or any thing he has done in his life. They are taking this country down the road to disaster, so anytime someone calls it just spin, and that even the Kerry team doesn't believe it, it still matters. The remaining swing voters who haven't yet made up their mind can be swayed by whoever puts up the best arguments in the next 70+ days remaining. Look for leftwing lies to become more frequent, outrageous, and vicious in the next few weeks, and look for the Bush response to be one of always on the defensive, his remarks never being as widely reported as the original charges, and for his campaign to "take the high road" that may well cost him the election. So if 527 groups, like the Swift Boat Vets assist in pushing back the liberal/radical tide, I'm all for them and Bush campaign and FEC rules be damned! Let Free Speech rule!!

If a man...especially a veteran...can't defend HIMSELF from facts, how in h*ll can he defend a nation against terrorists who want to KILL us?

I Know! I know this one!!

If Kerry were CIC, WHEN America got attacked (and we would be), Kerry will say till infinity that the reason America got attacked was because Bush left the country unprotected.

That'd be his defense against terrorists, that, and nothing more, because in his world, terrorists need to be befriended. There's a thread on FR somewhere that says he disobeyed orders to destroy a Viet Cong establishment and instead suggested the Navy send in supplies and befriend them.

Special note...no Hair Plugs listed above.

Ok, what did I miss. I've seen several references to hair plugs but have no idea who you're talking about. Will I go "Duh" when I find out?

Kerry will decide, after RATs give him the hook in private, that he's suffering from not enough windsurfing time, or bicycling, or skiing, or snow boarding and is dropping out. He can't say he's sick. That's too...loserish sounding. But it might get RATs sympathy votes. One place he should avoid if Hill calls up for a private meeting is Fort Marcy Park.

It is impossible for the dems not to be considering how to dump this freightload of damaged goods.

Wouldn't you love to be a spycam in their various HQ's right about now?

I know most of us don't even bother watching CBS on Sunday mornings, but evidently this morning they really got a "catch". Kerry's daughter, the blonde one, was on, talking about how frustrating it is to hear her Dad attacked so unfairly.

I only saw a clip of it on CNN, but my first thought was Kerry desperation. He must be desperate, to put his daughter out there like that, fighting his Viet Nam battle for him. I was appalled.

Beautiful!! Well worth repeating:

Our press corp has and is CHEATING the American people out of the full story, and it is so wrong. So hurtful to those who depend upon the above networks, trust them, believe them. This abuse of the press corp could have devastating results for America should the Islamic radicals mount successful attack after attack against us, with kerry as president, and with his past having been hidden, putting all of us at risk.

The twisted logic of promoting a man who cannot run on his senate record, is anti-war, did not see communism as a threat, stated that nothing bad would happen if we withdrew from Vietnam, who helped destroy the resolve of a nation to win a war, trashed his own fellow troops, time and again in his senate record sought to destroy our military and intelligence capabilities, REFUSED to even attend intelligence committee meetings, refuses to release his full military service records, sends lawyers to attempt to undo his opponents rather than ANSWER the charges (some presidential material here-geez), needs botox and hairdressers flown across the country to keep him pretty, etc., etc., and etc., just blows the mind.

H[N]ow our network press has denied the American people the full story of john kerry-instead of giving us a real debate, they give us attacks on the individuals who oppose kerry. Period.

I'm growing to really hate Bob Schiefer from CBS Face the Nation.

In line behind me on disliking Schiefer ... there is a nasty, bitter, snarky, barely-concealed evil about him that just makes my skin crawl. He's like a viper.

That is appalling. How like Kerry though. The faux war hero and evidentally faux protector of his family.

At 27, Lt. Kerry was still a commissioned officer in the Navy and had two years of "maturity" beyond the character-proving time of being the 25-year old war hero he makes himself out to be, and on the basis of which we're supposed to vote for him to become Commander-in-Chief.

What a sad joke! He is either raving delusional, or has been convincingly assured that his media friends will see him voted into the White House. They're sure trying hard.

Where will they play it? Thought as a 527 group, their time to influence the electorate is up in ten days (60 days before the election)?

I saw this too. Imagine being so desparate you have to send your children to do your whining. Brit Hume had it right this morning. Kerry is an opportunist, and now he is using the opportunity of the Swift Boat Vets to whine that George Bush is picking on him. AWAAAAAHH! AWAAAAAAHH!

Right after O'Dell said that Perry had built his house, my station went to commercial ...

The context, for readers who didn't see the show, was that O'Dell was asked if he know Perry. He said no, but that he had bought a house Perry had build. Very honest answer (in case a slimy Rat said there was a connection between Perry and O'Dell.)

Wow, Fox segment with Odell and Hurley just finished. Chris Wallace did a fabulous job.

Disagree strongly. Wallace kept badgering O'Dell to produce documents, all the while shoving official Navy documents on the mine incident (likely written up by Kerry or at his direction) in O'Dell's face. He did that at least twice. O'Dell politely refused to take them, saying he'd seen them. Wallace asked if he had any documents to refute them. O'Dell said he didn't, just that he was there, hadn't seen them until recently, and that they didn't match with what actually went on as experienced by him and others at the scene.

IMO Wallace almost lost his cool while interviewing, and shows that he too is a slimy liberal who is not "fair and balanced".

am SO proud of our conservative pundits, but astounded at the unwavering professionalism and demeanor of the Swift Boat Vets for Truth, themselves as they defend and explain their concerns.

I often wonder if the democrats sitting out in their living rooms, watching the likes of carville, and davis, and podesta, and hurley, and harkin etc., etc., feel uneasy at the squalor-like venom and hysteria that flows from the ugly mouths of these klinton hold overs.

I would be wondering, if I were a democrat, if there was anyone out there with integrity and professionalism left in my party at the top.

With harold ickes and ira magaziner hovering in the background, and the up front snakes hitting the air waves-it is like klinton era sleeze will forever be this party's face.

And moveon.org...what...began to move the nation beyond klinton porking an intern and committing PERJURY and being impeached by the house...lol...just seeing it's name reminds one of a very loathesome and truly degrading time in our history.

Poor joe six-pack democrat, he has been pulled into defending this cess pool while his neighbor, joe-six pack republican, is free of such embarrassment.

I guess once people first sell their souls, sacrifice their conscience, as it were, to make a point. Begin to DEFEND the INDEFENSIBLE, as the democrats at the top did during the klintonian assault upon our nation, and it becomes a never ending trap. And finally, part of the diminished character of the bearer.

I feel sorry for democrats at large-they have been so demolished by their hippie-like, immature, hysterical and out-of control elitist leadership.

Gosh, two excellent replies on one thread. Thank you so much.

BTTT

Message to the Kerry camp, don't send out lawyers and hit men, get someone who was there and knows the facts to debate or stay off the TV shows.

BTW, O'Neill is a lawyer, and a damned good one!

WABC radio news reporting that the Iraqi soccer captain is trashing President Bush. Saying Bush destroyed his country and doesn't care about the Iraqi people.

Did Iraq win or lose? If they lost, and if Saddam was still in power, they'd be candidates for the shredder. That's how he treated those who competed and lost.

At the point of the radio report they had only made it into the medal round. I for one, am not going to get my panties in a twist over anything reported by the media.

If the Iraqi is an idiot, that's his problem.
