In a way this fact is another piece of input to the original subject of this thread - a Freeper noted my interest in a particular subject and has pinged me to all his threads on the same subject since then. I'd call that a pretty helpful and welcoming thing to do, even if I was not savvy enough to recognize it!

Let me prove my internet ignorance once again. How do you get on a ping list? Like I daid, I just got into FReepmail yesterday.

I don't really know how I got on this ping list, but I think the Freeper who maintains it decided to put me on. Stated differently, I don't think you can sign yourself up, I believe the list maintainer has to add your FR userid to his list.

And if you've been on Freepmail since yesterday then you're two days ahead of me ....
