It wasn't just religious freedom that people left England for America, it was the despicable food they had to endure. American food was mostly crap until this country started getting a large influx of Italians.

i beg to differ.... southern cooking has always been good. And italian is not the only 'ethnic' food that tastes really good. Thai food is great. So is japanese. i even like german food.
