I haven't seen any mention yet, but I think a Freeper might have been the one who found that discrepancy. I thought I saw a thread on that subject yesterday.

Tonight, NBC Nightly News with Adam Sandler ( that's what I call Brian Williams )- showed a clip of Kerry's " cool " reception at the VFW-but,
then attacked President Bush.
NBC showed clips of the move on ad, claiming the President was AWOL and
then the reporter cheerfully reported that Kerry was getting the votes of vets who traditionally vote Republican.
So, the answer to your question is No.

THis one has been going around for a few days. It's not a great "lie" because the langauge in the journal is ambiguous, or can certainly be spun that way. I.e., "not shot at yet" could be "not shot at yet, today." It is, afterall, just a journal.
There are better confrontations to have than this one.
