That has to be the most bizarre explanation for that event. People have too much time on their hands to start making up stories such as a spaceship blasting a meteor.
I heard a guy on some show, possible C2CAM. He said that it was extremely likely to find pieces of spacecraft there,
considering that the area is in a Soviet/Russian launch range.
