Didn't they remove the shrapnel with a pair of tweezers?? And I'm sure the rice in his behind has dissolved by now.(LOL..I can't believe we are discussing this)

One small fragment, from his hand, no? I think they put a bandaid on it and sent him on his way.

In his Walter Mitty existence, that qualifies him to claim he was riddled with shrapnel.

One small piece from his arm, the Doctor called the wound similar to that of a rose thorn.

He had many pieces of rice removed from his behind.

He and his campaigning buddy now have a lifetime bond because of that, and they both dove for cover after throwing grenades at the rice (which was considered enemy fie by Kerry) but his buddy was quicker.

I aways cook my rice covered now, who knows it may just come at me and bite me in the....butt.
